ABOUT STUDIO TWELVE DESIGNS
Since 2012, Studio Twelve Designs has been redefining living and working spaces for discerning clients in Qatar. Known for its creativity, innovation and commitment to excellence, the studio thrives at every stage of the design process—from initial inspiration to final realisation. At the helm of the studio is Maha Mubarak Al-Kuwari, a passionate Qatari interior designer with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and an honours degree from the prestigious Virginia Commonwealth University. Specialising in residential and corporate projects, she deeply appreciates interior design’s impact on emotions and behaviour. Maha excels at developing innovative solutions and leading her team to transform her visionary concepts into exceptional outcomes.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
At the heart of this home lies an open-plan living room, a bright and airy space that artfully balances connection and separation. Studio Twelve employed fluted glass partitions to subtly divide the entrance, living and dining areas while maintaining a sense of unity and flow. The result? A harmonious layout where natural light dances effortlessly across the space.
The centrepiece of this open-plan area is our Disruption Sofa, a bold yet understated piece that perfectly embodies the project’s ethos. With its clean lines and plush comfort, this modular sofa anchors the room, offering a focal point and a space for relaxation. Complementing this statement piece are the Alexander Armchairs, which add an element of timeless elegance with their inviting curves and refined silhouette. To complete the ensemble, the Panton Side Table introduces a touch of sculptural minimalism, creating a seamless interplay of form and function.
Studio Twelve’s design philosophy shines in this area—by incorporating Domkapa’s versatile pieces, they’ve achieved a balance of visual interest and tranquillity, ensuring the space feels as practical as it is luxurious.

In a second living room, Studio Twelve deepened its exploration of understated elegance. Here, the Shinto Modular Sofa takes centre stage, showcasing its clean geometry, exceptional functionality and comfort. Its contemporary design speaks to a lifestyle of understated luxury, setting the tone for the room’s sophisticated atmosphere.
Framing the sofa are our Legacy Armchairs, whose tailored profiles and subtle details add an architectural dimension to the space. Their presence complements the Shinto Sofa without competing for attention. Finally, the Mano Table Set, with its intricate craftsmanship and understated elegance, completes the scene, serving as a functional element and a visual anchor.
Studio Twelve’s technique of layering textures and tones—soft neutrals paired with rich finishes—elevates this living room into a space of comfort and style.

The bedroom is where this project’s narrative of sophistication and simplicity reaches its peak. Our Amanda Bed, customised to meet the client’s unique needs, stands as the ultimate statement piece. With its sumptuous upholstery and tailored detailing, this bed transforms the room into a serene retreat. Moreover, the customisation without nightstands and extra head cushions—a special request by the client—ensures the piece seamlessly integrates with the overall design, both in form and function.
Studio Twelve paired the bed with carefully chosen accents, emphasising a neutral palette to create a calm, restful environment.
