Tres Más Dos Office In Mexico: Material Contrast & Sculptural Comfort

In today’s evolving workplace landscape, office design has moved far beyond functionality. It has become a powerful tool for expressing brand identity, fostering creativity and enhancing user experience. In this context, the Mexico-based studio Tres Más Dos delivers a compelling project that redefines what a contemporary office can be.

Balancing architectural precision with a strong emotional narrative, this office reception is not just a place of work – it is an immersive environment where materiality, lighting and form converge. At the heart of this composition lies a carefully curated selection of furniture, including our Disruption Sofa, which plays a central role in shaping the visual and functional dynamics of the space.

Project Concept & Design Vision

The design vision by Tres Más Dos is rooted in contrast – between hard and soft, warm and cool, structured and organic. This duality is expressed through a restrained yet impactful palette, where natural stone surfaces meet upholstered forms and industrial architectural elements are softened by carefully selected furnishings.

The concept revolves around creating a sophisticated reception and lounge area within the office – one that communicates professionalism while offering comfort and a sense of calm. Rather than relying on decorative excess, the studio focuses on sculptural clarity, allowing each element to stand out through its material integrity and precise detailing.

Lighting plays a pivotal role in reinforcing this vision. Vertical light strips integrated into the stone wall panels create rhythm and depth, transforming the backdrop into a dynamic architectural feature. This approach not only enhances spatial perception but also subtly guides the user experience within the environment.

Materials, Layout & Atmosphere

A Dialogue of Textures

One of the most striking aspects of this project is its material composition. Large-format stone panels dominate the vertical surfaces, introducing a sense of permanence and refinement. Their natural veining adds visual movement, preventing the space from feeling static.

In contrast, the flooring – dark, polished and highly reflective – amplifies the interplay of light and shadow. This reflective quality enhances the perceived scale of the space while reinforcing its contemporary character.

Against this architectural backdrop, the introduction of soft upholstery becomes essential. The seating elements provide visual relief and tactile comfort, ensuring the environment remains inviting rather than austere.

Spatial Organisation

The layout is deliberately minimal, yet highly intentional. A central seating area anchors the space, defined by a generous sofa and complemented by lounge chairs and a coffee table. Circulation flows naturally around this core, maintaining openness while clearly establishing functional zones.

The positioning of furniture allows for multiple modes of use – from informal meetings to moments of pause – making the space adaptable to the dynamic needs of a modern office.

Atmospheric Balance

The atmosphere achieved is one of quiet sophistication. Warm lighting offsets the cool tones of the stone, while the upholstery introduces depth and softness. This balance ensures that the space feels professional and welcoming – an essential quality in contemporary workplace design.

Disruption Sofa: Sculptural Presence & Functional Comfort

At the centre of the project is the Disruption Sofa, a piece that perfectly aligns with the design language established by Tres Más Dos.

Defined by its clean lines and generous proportions, the sofa introduces a sense of grounded elegance to the space. Its low-profile silhouette enhances the horizontal flow of the layout, while its subtle curves soften the otherwise structured environment.

The upholstery, selected in a neutral textured fabric, integrates seamlessly with the surrounding materials. This neutrality is key – it allows the sofa to complement the architectural elements without competing with them, while still maintaining a strong visual identity.

From a functional perspective, the Disruption Sofa offers exceptional comfort, making it ideal for short sittings and longer interactions. Its modular potential further enhances its versatility, allowing it to adapt to different spatial configurations and project requirements.

A Cohesive Design Solution

Tres Más Dos office in Mexico exemplifies how thoughtful design can transform a functional space into a refined and engaging environment. Through a careful balance of materials, lighting and form, the studio creates a setting that supports productivity and well-being.

Within this context, the integration of our Disruption Sofa highlights the importance of selecting furniture that goes beyond aesthetics – pieces that contribute to the spatial narrative while meeting the practical demands of professional environments.
