SaloneSatellite: “Craftsmanship + Innovation” | Pavilions 5-7
SaloneSatellite, the visionary hub dedicated to designers under 35, takes place from April 21st to 26th. Celebrating young talent and experimentation, it has become a unique platform for exploring contemporary living, where emerging designers meet entrepreneurs, talent scouts and industry professionals.
Launched in 1998 by Marva Griffin Wilshire, who remains its curator, SaloneSatellite was the first event to spotlight young designers, believing in their potential to shape the future of design. Over the years, many prototypes presented at the event have gone into production and thousands of designers from over 270 international design schools and universities have emerged as influential voices on the global design scene.
Guided by a spirit of experimentation, the exhibition reflects on the challenges of a rapidly evolving world – from environmental and economic shifts to social transformations – with young designers providing fresh insights that help shape the future of design.
New Exhibition: Salone Raritas
Making its debut at the 64th edition of Salone del Mobile, Salone Raritas offers a direct connection between special-edition design, antiques, high-end craftsmanship and the professional design market – including architects, interior designers, contractors, developers and dealers.
Curated by Annalisa Rosso, editorial & cultural director and advisor of Salone del Mobile, and designed by Formafantasma, Salone Raritas bridges highly-skilled creative production with the B2B contemporary design market. The exhibition showcases unique pieces, limited editions and ‘outsider’ objects, creating a curated environment that fosters networking, collaboration and new business opportunities.
Salone Raritas reflects a shift in contemporary design: collectable and limited-edition works are increasingly used in residential, hospitality and experiential retail projects as markers of identity and quality. By bringing these objects into the Salone, the event highlights their value for investors, developers and clients seeking rarity, craftsmanship and a compelling narrative in interior spaces.

Whether you are seeking inspiration, networking opportunities or insights into the latest trends, Salone del Mobile provides a unique platform to explore the intersections of creativity, craftsmanship and innovation. Milan becomes, once again, a vibrant hub where ideas, products and people converge, shaping the way we live, work and experience design. Are you going to this year’s edition?
