Talks and Round Tables – “Drafting Futures. Conversations about Next Perspectives”
- Francis Kéré in conversation with Giulia Ricci | April 17th
The event will focus on the work of Francis Kéré, the 2022 Pritzker Architecture Prize winner. The first African to receive this honour is acclaimed for his unwavering commitment to sustainable and socially inclusive design. With such priorities, architecture can be a powerful force for tackling global problems, such as access to safe drinking water and education. Giulia Ricci, “Domus” journalist and editor, will moderate.
- New Shapes of Hospitality | April 19th
This Round Table will be an in-depth chat about a rapidly evolving field with new opportunities and markets to be discovered. Major hotel chains’ buyers and international designers, such as Wu Bin, designer and founder of W.DESIGN, and Andrea Obertello, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Milano, will tackle this subject. This conversation will be moderated by Lauren Grace Morris.
- Maria Porro in conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist | April 20th
An in-depth look into design’s new horizons with Maria Porro, Salone del Mobile.Milano’s President, and Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director at the Serpentine Galleries in London, as well as one of the world’s most influential art curators. This will be the perfect occasion to explore future challenges and opportunities through these two professionals who are capable of influencing the evolution of design and architecture as we know it.
- The Present and Future of Artificial Intelligence | April 20th
This Round Table will discuss what AI (Artificial Intelligence) means for the design and architectural disciplines, and whether it will simply become another tool to help the industry or have a much wider, potentially more disrupting impact. It will have the participation of important names in this industry such as Sherif Tarabishy, Associate Partner, Foster + Partners and Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, Artistic Director and Co-founder of Random International.

- Under the Surface | 16 – 21 April
“Under the Surface“, designed and created by Accurat, Design Group Italia and Emiliano Ponzi for the International Bathroom Exhibition reflects on the ethics, sustainability and technology but also the power, fascination and frailty of water. Conceived in the form of a submerged island, the installation suggests a visual, evocative and educational story to raise awareness of the environmental impact of our daily practices with water.
- Food Design Projects | 16 – 21 April
At the heart of EuroCucina, there will be the opening of “All You Have Ever Wanted to Know About Food Design in Six Performances”, a great stage hosting six independent international food magazines. Together with artists, designers and chefs from around the world, they will present an unprecedented and original vision of the present and future of the ingredients that nature offers us.
- Universo Satellite | April 16th
This exhibition celebrates the 25-year history of SaloneSatellite, a pivotal contemporary design reality. Devised as a “planet” revolving around the Salone del Mobile Milano, SaloneSatellite has long since become a real “universe” in its own right, and the exhibition “Universo Satellite”, edited by Beppe Finessi, celebrates its 25-year history.
